This page explains who owns the images on PngDonut and what you can and cannot assume when you download one. It is general information, not legal advice.

Who owns the images

Images on pngdonut.com are submitted by contributors, visitors and other third parties. PngDonut does not create most of them and does not own the copyright in them. Copyright, and any trademark, personality or other rights, remain with the original creator or rights holder.

What PngDonut does and does not grant

• Downloading an image from PngDonut does not transfer ownership and does not give you a licence from us. We have no authority to license an image on its creator’s behalf.
• We do not verify the licence or rights status of each image. Some images may be released by their creators for free use or into the public domain; others may be restricted. We cannot tell you which is which.
• We provide the files as a hosting and discovery service, as-is, with no warranty of any kind.

Before you use an image

• Check that you are allowed to use it for your purpose. For commercial use — advertising, products, print-on-demand, logos, resale, client work — you need to confirm the rights yourself or obtain permission from the rights holder.
• Images may show brand names, logos, characters, artwork or recognisable people. Those elements belong to their owners, and using them may require extra permission (see our Disclaimer).
• If you are unsure, do not use the image commercially, or contact the rights holder or take legal advice.

What you must not do

• Resell or redistribute the images as-is, or present the site’s library as your own stock collection.
• Claim an image as your own work or remove credit where one is required.
• Use an image to suggest that a person or brand endorses you or your product.

If you are the rights holder

If an image appears on PngDonut without your permission, you can ask us to remove it using our DMCA / Copyright Policy. We act promptly on valid notices.

If you submit an image

Only submit images you created or have the right to share. By submitting, you confirm that, and you grant PngDonut a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free right to host, display, resize, convert and distribute the image on the Site. You are responsible for your submissions; we may refuse or remove any image, and we remove repeat infringers. See our Terms & Conditions.

No warranty and limit of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PngDonut makes no promise that any image is free of third-party rights and is not liable for how you use an image. See our Terms and Disclaimer.
