When to upscale an image
Small logos, old graphics, thumbnails and low-resolution exports often look soft or pixelated when you drop them into a larger layout. Upscaling increases the pixel dimensions so the image fills more space with smoother edges — handy for print, presentations, banners and full-width hero images.
PngDonut enlarges your image up to 4× using high-quality smoothing that softens the hard, blocky edges you’d get from a plain stretch. It works best on clean graphics, icons and illustrations; extremely small or heavily compressed photos simply have less detail to work with, so very large jumps can still look a little soft.
